About Us
Bill and Steve Tanner have been preparing tax returns in the Denver Metro area for over 30 years.
We have completed and successfully filed over 50,000 tax returns over the years. The tax practice now called Tanner & Company was originally started by Murray Scharf in 1947.
Bill started
to work for Murray in 1975 while completing his master’s degree in accounting. After purchasing the practice in 1977 he started something new in the tax business: computer-aided tax preparation.
By 1983 Bill had grown the business to the point that Steve entered the practice, working 2 or 3 hours on Saturdays. Now 20 some years later Tanner & Company serves 1500 regular clients and continues to be an industry leader in computer-aided tax preparation.
